As a children’s book author, there are few moments as memorable as signing the first copy of your book. This week, I had the joy of autographing a copy of my debut title, Felix the Brave Little Fox. Seeing my story in the hands of a reader who wanted it signed was both humbling and incredibly rewarding. It reminded me of why I started this journey as a children’s book writer: to create stories that resonate, inspire, and bring joy to young readers and their families.
I won’t lie – I practiced my autograph more times than I care to admit! Signing my name in a children’s book that I wrote, one that means so much to me and to readers, felt like a big responsibility. I wanted it to be just right, a little personal keepsake for someone who connected with Felix’s story. There’s a special connection that comes with signing a book, knowing it will be cherished on someone’s bookshelf.
Felix the Brave Little Fox isn’t just a story about a little fox; it’s a tale of bravery, kindness, and resilience – qualities I hope resonate with both children and adults. Hearing from readers who love Felix and his adventures has been the highlight of my experience as an author. Knowing my work has touched someone’s heart enough to want a signed copy is a feeling I’ll treasure.
I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported Felix the Brave Little Fox and my journey as an author. Whether you’ve shared the book with a child, left a review, or simply followed along, your support means the world. I’m excited to keep writing and to bring new stories to life in the future.
